Pleased to meet you: we are a united and motivated team; we have been collaborating with Sant’Orso for several years now and, season after season, we have shared their goals. Each member of the staff is at your complete disposal: contact us for requests or advice, we will be happy to reveal the must-sees to visit and taste in Cogne!
I love “my” Cogne, where the Gérards have lived since 1600, and my fondest desire is that others can see its beauty with the same enthusiasm that I have. For four generations now, my family's passion has been to make guests feel at ease, always at their disposal for whatever they need.
Art and science are my twin passions, first for archaeology, then specializing in wellness. My thirst for curiosity in this area is relentless; I am constantly training for one course or another. I love my job and I feel so fortunate being able to practice it in the inspiring setting of Cogne.
I enjoy practicing many sports, but as a good Cogne native, my first love is cross-country skiing; I even scored some medals for the national team. I also like working out with my brain—reading is my passion. I also have a degree in Motor Sciences and specialize in sports massage techniques.
I graduated in languages, and I was ready to leave the Aosta Valley to travel to discover the world, but fate kept me in Cogne. I still dream of a tour of Australia, but the happiness of living amid these imposing mountains gives me so much joy: especially in winter, the snow that sparkles in the sun excites me every day.
I am originally from the province of Milan, and I have been in Cogne for five years now. This was the realization of a dream for me: working in the mountains in the field I have always loved—catering. In my free time, I love to go on hikes to discover this magnificent area. My favourite walk? To the Mario Gontier bivouac.
After various steps, even some abroad, destiny brought me to Cogne and for the past twenty years, I have been collaborating with Sant’Orso, which has become like home to me. I love to take care of the small details, from the decorations for any kind of event right down to the geraniums, which I water as if they were on my own balcony. I will be happy to tell you more about the typical dress I wear and other local facts.
Having arrived from Romania to Cogne for work, I have developed a relationship of esteem and affection of over ten years with the Gérard family. First, I took care of their grandfather as a caregiver, then I moved on to take care keeping the rooms neat and orderly. I feel good here: I have even managed to learn a few words in the Cogne dialect!
